  3. Gabbit uses technology, collaboration, tourism knowledge and intelligence to solve above issues. The system is successfully piloting in one of most complex tourism circuit - “Char Dham Yatra” (Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri & Yamunotri) in Uttarakhand, in association with Government & tourism industry. The System helps in -

    (a) Tourist Safety - System actively monitors entire Yatra route (1,200 km) w.r.t. various parameters such as Landslides, Road blockage, Weather conditions & alerts, Crowd & Queue situations, Medical emergency, accidents etc. Based on threshold values, system generates warning & alerts to respective departments as per SOPs. Information relevant for public is also sent to tourists, hoteliers, tour operators etc. This works as effective “Public Address System”. The System gets all this information from different sources including various government departments (like Disaster Management, Police), Tourism Industry and tourists.

These SUVs are designed to take one well off the beaten track and into the heart of every state Camping Co operates. The company strives to promote experiences that are on a deeper level where you make genuine connections with local communities, enjoy the journey, and truly explore.

Commenting on their offerings, Sharma said, “Our overland journeys are fully customised through our proprietary technology to offer control into our users’ hands to decide how ‘active’ or ‘relaxed’ they want their journey to be. The ability to go beyond the tourist infrastructure is a major highlight of overland travel and to support this we have built tech solutions assist our users to discover and book caravan parks, do route planning and preload Camping Co’s self-drive SUV Campers with a list of add-ons such as BBQ grills, cooktop, cutlery kit and cooking utensils, camping gears, cycles and even kayaks to allows users to tailor the experience exactly the way they like.”

Launched in 2018, Camping Co is based out of Guwahati, Assam, has campsites located largely in Northeast India, Bhutan, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In addition to renting the SUV Campers, Camping Co also makes bookings for campsites and eco-lodges situated in the lap of nature from their website.

Yellow Plate is on a mission to digitise the commercial vehicles segment involving millions of supply and demand stakeholders across both passenger and goods transport in India via its enabling technology platforms and an integrated marketplace.

Vehicles’ rental vendors via Yellow Plate platform can digitise their businesses, offer services to customers on mobile, capitalize on their vendor network to increase fleet and business in addition to new clients and bookings from Yellow Plate’s retail and partners marketplace.

The consumer segment can now get services digitally from their vendors or access large numbers of digital vendors across India via the Yellow Plate partners’ marketplace and save up to 30% in costs. Yellow Plate is integrating its digital ecosystem with offline channels (O2O) by appointing partners across cities in India.

Talking about the platform, Tulsyan said, “Yellow Plate’s vision is to digitise every stakeholder’s across supply, demand, services and product segment in the commercial vehicles segment. The ecosystem built over the past three years can accommodate every vehicle category and demand (need vehicles on rent) and supply (provide vehicles on rent) stakeholders. We have phased out vehicle categories, and our first phase involves commercial cars. By 2022, Yellow Plate aims to digitize lakhs of supply and demand stakeholders in the commercial car category and add delivery vans as another vehicle segment.”

Trainman is a one-stop shop for all information and intelligence about Indian Railways. Trainman was built to solve the woes of train travellers in India by using data and technology. It was the first product in India which could predict the confirmation chances of waitlisted train tickets. Some of the other core features are accessing PNR status, seat availability, train schedule, train live status and train ticket booking.

Founded by Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT-R) alumni, Trainman is an extremely popular product. It is used by 5 lakh train travellers every single day. The Trainman Android app has more than 65 lakh downloads on Play Store. It was also selected by Facebook under the FBStart program. Trainman is a registered startup under Startup India Program by the Government of India. It is running bootstrapped and profitable.

Commenting on the product Vineet Kumar Chirania said, “We observed that innovation was happening for all travel modes, but trains. MakeMyTrip and Cleartrip started innovating with flights segments. OYO did the same for budget hotels, and Redbus made online bus booking possible. Ola and Uber revolutionised cabs. However, no one was doing anything on train side of things. And surprisingly the Indian Railways is the biggest carrier and transports 2.3 million passengers every day. That’s when we decided we will innovate in the train travel space. We aim to become the biggest train portal in India for train information and ticketing after the government-run IRCTC.”

“We aim to cross 1 crore app downloads and undertake train ticket bookings worth INR 250 crore annually by the end of 2021,” Chirania shared.

Flyzy is conceptualised by students of IIT-G (Indian Institute of Technology - Guwahati), with the objective to drive innovation in the aviation industry by leveraging the power of technology. One of its flagship products is the flyzy App that connects passengers with airlines, airports and merchants, facilitating a fast, simple and personalised contactless airport experience.

Some of the key features in the first phase are In-App Check-In, Contactless Airport Shopping, Real-time flight status and In-App Mobile Boarding Pass. Contactless Airport Parking, Smart Assistant, Auto Check-In are in the pipeline. The app is expected to be live by mid-September 2020, while the beta version of the website is live.

The USP of flyzy is that the service is integrated with different air ticking platforms and OTAs via SDK (Software Development Kit) and APIs so that passengers can experience flyzy with existing apps in their phones. It also helps the air ticking platforms to give their customers an unmatched experience.


According to Deepak Meena, Founder & CEO, flyzy increases user engagement, and opens new business opportunities for OTAs, as the OTA app now becomes a complete travel app. From real-time flight status to mobile boarding pass to airport shopping flyzy integrates all these features via SDKs in the OTA. "It can be rightly termed as a complete seamless Day of Travel Solution, at low cost."

With regards to the B2B TMCs, Meena said they plan to partner with B2B TMCs and provide their customers with a complete travel solution. "We will partner with B2B online/offline TMCs, either by integrating flyzy’s SDK in their own platform or in case the TMC doesn’t have any platform, we provide our own platform to them."

BookBySlot is a dynamic hotel booking engine offering the flexibility to pay for need-based requirement. Hotels are contracted on BookBySlot’s platform on the basis of tariff and slots ranging from 4/8/11/24 hours. Currently, the website offers inventory of 1,200 hotels in Delhi, Mumbai, Benglauru, Ahmadabad and Chennai, and aims to enhance its supply inventory to 5,000 properties in 70 cities across India by year-end. The BookBySlot app is available for download on Android and iOS devices, and has integrated the Paytm payment gateway and Paytm wallet to accept payments from all major debit and credit cards.


According to Anubhav Agarwal, "We offer a solution to increase ARR and RevPar for hotels to fill their unused rooms which is a USD 6 billion opportunity in India. We provide flexibility in check in and check out through dynamic slotting of the hours during the day and, this makes us distinctly different from other OTAs in the market. Besides, we are also developing a product called the 'single API solution', using which hotels, OTAs, and developers can offer hotel bookings on slot with dynamic pricing, cabs on the go, bus booking and amenities as service in hotels in real time by just one click of a button in the cities of Dubai, Singapore, London, Paris and New York City." The Founders aim to have 50,000 property listings by 2023 in the BookBySlot network. "Alongside, we want do a gross booking value of USD 50 million and have 500,000 travellers using the platform in India and around the world."
